End of the Year Program

Drew's school does an End of the Year program and celebration every year.  This year the kids got to pick their favorite songs that wanted to sing and performed them for their parents one night.  Drew loves going to music class and sings the songs when I pick him up from school.  I have to say, he did a great job and knew most of the words and actions!

I can't believe this is all the pictures we got but picture one of us trying to video it and the other chasing a cute little 15 month old around the seats the entire time!  This is Drew's last year at A World of Learning.  We are going try home school preschool this coming year.  He will miss all his wonderful teachers he has had these past two years and the sweet friends he has made.  This school was great for Drew is so many ways and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Chuck E Cheese

This year has been filled with long days and nights with both of us working full time.  We spent most of our down time at home just taking it all in.  Jason had a great idea to take the boys to Chuck E Cheese.  We needed to get out and just enjoy life and being together.  The boys loved it and Drew asks every time we pass it now to go.  He reminds me that it is open because there are cars there.

Camden enjoyed riding the train more than anything.  Drew did great at the little go carts.  All in all it was a fun night out with just our family.

Drew's Field Trip

I got to take the day off and join Drew's class for a fun field trip day.  We started with lunch at the park and then headed to SeaLife Aquarium in Grapevine.  I loved seeing Drew interact with his friends and get to meet some of the moms.  We had fun on our little adventure and hanging out together for the day.

Easter 2015

This Easter it was our year to go to San Antonio.  This would also be Camden's first trip down there.  On the way there we hit traffic which made for a very fun drive.  We got in late Friday and enjoyed visiting with family.

On Saturday, we went to eat lunch and then we headed back to Grandma Jo's house.  We did some Easter egg dying, playing with a pinata, and then we had a hunt.  It was fun to see Camden start to get involved in hunting for eggs and Drew was all in to it.

Sunday morning we packed up and headed to church before we left for the drive home.

We hope everybody had a great Easter with their loved ones like we did!

A Getaway with Just the Girls

Last Saturday,  I got to take a girl's day trip with the girls (minus one - missed you Alise!).  We had so much fun!  There's nothing like uninterrupted conversations, shopping, and yummy food!  We got to play catch up on what was going on with everybody throughout the day.

Our first stop was West to get us some yummy breakfast!  I had a sausage roll and pecan roll and both were delicious!  If you have never been, you should stop next time you are driving by.  It's worth the wait in the line!

After stopping to get yummy breakfast we were back on the road and arrived in Waco soon after.  We quickly realized we didn't know exactly where we were going or have a true plan.  Thank goodness for our iPhones!  First stop (of course) was Magnolias!  We did some damage in there, along with every other person visiting Waco that day.  Everybody got something and just couldn't wait to get back to their house to decorate but the day of shopping wasn't over just yet!  The store had many cute things in it and they couldn't keep anything on the shelves very long before it was snatched up by a shopper and soon replaced by the staff with more!

After our first stop we headed back towards town to eat lunch and do some more shopping!  We ate at Olive Branch bakery & Cafe.  I got the Strawberry Grilled Chicken Salad...I think it has another name, maybe Orchard Salad, whatever it was, it was yummy!  I highly recommend it.  After enjoying a nice lunch and taking our time doing NOTHING we decided to head upstairs to Spice Village.  Such a neat little place and cute little shops.  We took our time walking around and finding a few more things we each thought we just had to have!

After Spice Village we headed to Common Grounds where a few of us grabbed something to drink and just check it out.  It was a really neat place and if I went to Baylor that would definitely be a spot I would frequent, even though I don't drink coffee.  It was just a cute little hang out spot.

And these two...they just had to do their school signs (TCU and TECH) on Baylor's Campus.  I was behind the camera but Axe'em Jacks!

We had one last stop on our list to get to and wanted to try to get there before they possibly closed.  As we pulled up Chip was outside taking a pic with some other ladies but we missed him.  We looked around in his little shop but didn't get anything.  A few of the girls wanted some candlesticks but the girl working said that they couldn't keep them on the shelves and you could order on line.  Well, that's not as fun.

After our quick visit we headed home.  Memories were definitely made on this trip and we are already wanting to plan another one.

These girls are what gets me thru the day.  We are constantly texting each other with praises, worries, prayers, thoughts, funnies, or just checking in DAILY!  I love these girls and I am so glad God put each one of them in my life.  They each mean so much to me and I am very thankful for our friendships.

12 months/One Year!

I can't believe tears are not streaming down my face as I start to write this blog.  Camden, our sweet, loving, happy (oh so happy), content, easy going baby is turning one today.  He is just the best little baby around and now is turning into a toddler.  I can't believe it, I mean really.  12 months ago this bundle of joy joined our family and made it so much better.  Although times more hectic, there hasn't been a day that goes by that we aren't happy he's around.  Oh, and just ask his brother, he just ADORES him and they make sure a great team and are already best buds!
What's New: Standing by himself, he's taking 2 steps then crawls, and he has a personality.  It's his way or no way and he gets mad! He still loves to be with his mommy at all times.

Sizes:  He's wearing mostly 12 month clothes and a few 18 months.  He is still in a size 3 diaper.

Food:  He eats what we eat for the most part.  If he's done or doesn't want it, he tends to throw it on the ground.  He hates when we get on to him for this, even it's just saying NO!

Sleep:  It's still good.  He would prefer to be rocked to sleep but we sometimes just put him down.  Mommy can't rock him because he thinks it's more time to play.  Daddy is usually the one that can put him down smoothly.  He usually wakes up between 6-7am.  That needs to extend once Summer comes!
What I love:  How fun he is and how much he enjoys life.  He is starting to become a little boy with a personality that makes him who he is.  He loves to be with everybody but can also play by himself.  I love how he's our little boy that God gave us and he is the reason we are a family of four and it's perfect!

In Camden's invitation we had a little letter that asked for everybody to fill out a letter for him to open and read when he's 18.  It also asked to include anything of this time.  Some added baseball cards, books,  scrubby from his great grandma, fishing lures from his great grandpa, Bible Verses, ect.  This was really special and now I want to do this for Drew.

11 months

My oh my, this boy is 11 months old.  ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!  I can't believe...I mean really, time has flown by.  He is still such a joy to be around and loves every bit of life, until you put him down for a nap or bedtime.

What's New:  He is clapping.  His first time was at dinner, when he was getting food.  I quickly had to grab a short video.  He is climbing up on the fireplace and crawling around.  He has only done this twice and it's not encouraged but he can now do it.  He is comfortably going up and down our step down to the living room and game room.  He has been reaching for others to hold him or go to others.  He also got to celebrate his first Christmas!  He was such a trooper traveling to all our Christmas locations.  He did great meeting Santa until the end, then the tears started coming.

Food: He is now eating pretty much what we are eating, of course cut into tiny pieces.  He drinks 8oz of milk in the morning before breakfast and then 7 oz the rest of the day.  He loves fruit and meat.
Sleep:  Still doing great!  He goes to bed (doesn't like going to be AT ALL) around 7:30 and wakes up around 7.  During the break when we were both off, he started sleeping til 8ish.
Sizes:  He is 9-12 months and a few 12-18 months.  Just depends on the brand.  He is still in size 3 diapers.

What I Love:  I feel like I say this over and over but I love how happy he is most of the time.  I mean really, he is so laid back and easy going.  He is just a happy kid.  I love how he gets excited to see us after we have been gone.  I love the relationship he has with is brother.  They can just sit and play.  I hope this friendship continues.

10 months

With all the craziness of the holidays Camden's 10 month post is a little behind.  Camden turned 10 months on the 21st of December.  Bless his heart he's had a little cough and runny nose.  I really think this kid was born with allergies.  He's still the happiest little thing around even though he hasn't felt himself 100%.

What's new:  He has two more teeth!  He now has two on the top an two on the bottom.  He is walking along everything and trying at times to stand by himself.  He's a little daring and has no fear.  To say that, he has hit his head MANY times because he just goes and does anything and he sometimes has to pay to consequences.  Poor guy.  He can hold his bottle by himself but sometimes chooses not to.  He H.A.T.E.S his room.  If he thinks we are getting him ready for bed or nap he starts crying when we start walking towards his room.  I could just be putting something in his room and his lip starts to curl.  He also hates getting his diaper changed.  He usually screams the entire time.  We have at times, changed him in other rooms and he's as happy as can be.  It's crazy and silly at the same time.  He also carries anything and everything around in his mouth.  He will pick something up, put it in his mouth, and go!

Interests:  Loves to play with his big brother.  They have played for 45 minutes in the game room with no problems just doing whatever.  Drew even asks for him to come play with him.  It's so cute and AWESOME!  He wants to be outside anytime the door opens.  It's to cold, so unfortunately he has to look out the window instead of going outside.  He also needs to know where I am at, at all times.  He will break his neck to watch me go somewhere.  If I leave the room or pass him to somebody else he cries.  When I take him back, he immediately stops.  I love it but I know it needs to stop!  He loves playing with the big legos and brothers duplo legos.  He got a lot of sensory balls for Christmas and those are his favorite.  He smiles when he sees them around the house.  He's easily entertained but blocks and balls are his current favorite!

Food:  He drinks 7 oz of milk in the morning, after his two naps, and for dinner.  His favorite foods are still apples and bananas.  He hasn't been as picky of an eater as the last few months and has started eating what we eat for dinner with us!

Sleep:  Like a rockstar!  He takes two naps during the day and sleeps about 12 hours at night.  It's awesome and even though it took him a while to do this, I love it!  He on the other hand would rather stay up so he doesn't miss a thing.

What I love:  I love how well he plays with his brother.  They enjoy each other's company (for now) and for the most part get a long so well.  I love how he smiles at just about anything and brings joy to us all.  I love how easy going he is with our daily plans and schedule.  I love how when he feels bad, he's still happy.  I just love him being apart of our family and couldn't picture life without this little bundle of joy!
