3 months

Camden is three months old today and fitting right in.  He is a very laid back baby (for now) and pretty easy going.  In the past month he took his first long trip, had his first cold (not fun), visited church many times, and got to hang out with his Gigi and Auntie while mommy goes to work.  He's sleeping at least a five hour stretch at night if not longer.  He likes to wake up at 4:30 but after eating goes back to sleep.  He's starting to smile a lot more, coo's often, and loves watching his big brother be silly.

Weekend Trip

Friday after Jason got off we headed to go ole Nacogdoches.  My sister was graduating Saturday morning from Stephen F. Austin.  This was Camden's first long trip and hotel stay.  He did fairly well on the car ride down and Drew did great as always.  I had rented Frozen for him to watch and he ended up watching it 3 times by the time we were back home.  He loved it, just like everybody else.

We arrived around 8:00 at night and my parents were already at the hotel.  The met us in the parking lot and took the boys from us and let us get checked in and unpacked.  Drew was shocked to see his Gigi and Pop pop but oh so excited.  The boys hung out with them and Auntie and Jayce for a bit before heading to bed.

The next morning everybody got to sleep in a little (must have been tired from the drive) and when we woke up, we started getting ready for SFA's graduation.  We arrived just in time for it to begin and watch Auntie (my sister) walk to her seat.  Drew did great during the ceremony and Camden slept.  After it was over we got to congratulate my sister and then head out to have lunch with everybody.

After lunch we went to the campus bookstore and walk around campus.  So much has changed but I still remember a lot about it.  Oh to be in college again :)  Drew got to see the fountain in the middle of campus and of course we had to take pictures.  We then walked to other book stores to see what we just had to have!

We had a great time even though it was a quick trip.  I can't wait to go back when the boys are older and take them to a football game and show them around.  I doubt they will really care but I will enjoy it.  We are oh so proud of my sister and can't wait to see what God has in store for her as a teacher.  She will be great doing what she loves!

Congratulations Auntie Adalee!

Two Months

Our little Camden is TWO MONTHS OLD!  He is such a content baby for the most part just doesn't like 11pm - 1am.  That's his time to let it all out!  His big brother loves to love on him oh so much.  I think Camden gets a million hugs and kisses a day from Drew.  Camden accepts them usually with a look like "when is this going to stop".

Two Month Check Up
Height 23 in. 46%
Weight 13.2 lbs 69%
Head Circ. 15.8 75%

The doctor said everything looked good and that Camden was mini me of Jason.  The nurse said that him and Drew look so much alike.  We all agree to both!  The check up went well and Camden was calm during it all and let the nurse check everything on him that she routinely does and he let her without hesitation until the shots.  Camden didn't like the shots but soon calmed down and fell asleep by the time we got to the car.  Don't tell his brother but I think he's going to be a little tougher when it comes to getting shots.

Some more firsts - First Easter, First time to church, First outing with just mom and the boys. First time in an elevator,  First smile, and First time doing tummy time on his fun mat.

Easter

I just love holidays and sharing/starting traditions with our little ones.  This year was our year to stay here and have Easter with my side of the family (we rotate every other year and the opposite years we go to San Antonio with Jason's side of the family).

The Easter celebration started off Thursday night with our annual Church Easter hunt.  Drew is more into hunting this year then last so we were excited for him.  It was raining but that didn't stop the fun.  Drew had a blast soaking wet and all and got to see all his friends too!

Saturday night we dyed our Easter eggs for Sunday's hunt with our family.  Drew enjoyed doing this and wanted to do everything all by himself.  We ended up with only one cracked egg by the end of the night!

We woke up Sunday morning to Drew bringing us Camden's Easter basket with goodies that the Easter bunny left him and was so excited for presents.  After we all woke up we went in the living room together to see what all he had brought the boys.  Drew was excited for all the presents and even read Camden's book to him :)

We attempted a picture of the two of them after church and Camden was a little tired and wasn't in the mood but this was the one we got.

After church we headed to my grandparents house in Rockwall to meet up with other family members, enjoy lunch, and have an Easter Egg Hunt!  Drew was so excited for the hunt.  He ONLY wanted eggs that made noises when you shook them.  He would run up to each one, shake it, if there was noise he would put it in his basket, if there was no noise he would put it back down and said it was for someone else.  He didn't pick up any boiled eggs because they didn't make any noise!  Overall he had a great time and so did everybody else!

We hope you all had a great Easter just like we did!

Happy 6 weeks!

Today Camden is six weeks old!  He is currently working on sleeping 5 hours at night and taking naps between 2.5 and 3.5 hours.  Today he's been really sleeping (growth spurt maybe?).  He's smiling a lot and starting to coo!  I love those baby sounds :)  Here's some pictures from our mini 6 week photo shoot!

One Month

It's already been a month since Camden was born.  In one way it seems like there is no way and then another, I can tell you it has been a month (four weeks) :) adjusting to less hours of sleep.

He has fit right in to our family perfectly.  He has an older brother that lights up every time he sees him and wants to be around him 24/7.  There are some challenges at times getting two kids ready, happy, and out the door...just to go to the park.  We know it's all worth it and in the end we will laugh at how stressed we were at times but these precious boys make our day daily.

Here's a snapshot of some of Camden's firsts...

We can't wait to see what new things you learn this coming month!

Spring Break

The past few years for Spring Break we have headed to San Antonio to spend time with Jason's grandmother.  This year, having a two week old, we decided to stay here.  Here is how our week went.

Sunday: - We took our first long (1 hour) trip to GiGi and Pop Pop's house to spend the afternoon and pick up Drew who spent the weekend with them.

Monday: - First major family outing with all four to Southlake Town Square.  We ran into some sweet friends at lunch so we enjoyed lunch with them, made a few stops at some of the shops, and of course we had to stop and play at one of the water fountains (always a must).

Tuesday: - We were bums and just took it easy around the house and Auntie came over to spend Wednesday with us!

Wednesday: - We headed to Grapevine Mills for lunch, carousal ride, stopped in build a bear, and then headed home for nap time.  After nap we headed back to go to SeaLife Aquarium when the crowd left (it was crazy in the morning).

Mommy and Drew

Thursday: - We headed to our church to play and see Drew's sitter who was also up there with another kid from his preschool class.

Friday: - We rested and just enjoyed being home.

Saturday: - We did a few things around the house and then played in the rain!

Sunday: - Drew was sad that there wasn't anymore rain.  :)

We hope everybody had a great Spring Break (those who had one).  We really enjoyed having daddy around to help out and there were many naps taken by mommy and daddy in shifts throughout the week.
