Three Month Pictures

We took some three month pictures yesterday.  I think they came out good!  Drew was such a trooper and never once got upset with us moving him around and trying to pose him.  It's nice having a talented husband who can take pictures whenever.  We even got a family picture!  Leave a comment on your favorite pictures.  I can't decide which ones to print.  My house is already filled with TONS of newborn pictures and now I have to add 3 month pictures!

Three Months

Drew is three months old!  I can't believe how fast it has gone.
Interests:  HANDS, if he has his hands to chew on he's happy.  We have tried to pull them out and keep them out and most of the time he gets mad and as soon as we let go, he puts them right back in his mouth. He has put them so far in his mouth that he starts chocking and his eyes start watering.  We have to pull them out for him.  He also loves looking at the TV.  We can sit him backwards from the TV and he tries to break his neck to look at it.  (Not good I know and I try to not have it on during the day when I'm at home with him.)
Personality: HAPPY, he is such a happy boy and is starting to laugh too.  He only really gets upset if he's tired and you can tell he's fighting it and even then he doesn't really cry.

Sleep:  He's got it down!  Since 7.5 weeks he has slept through the night and he usually sleeps 9-11 hours!  He naps for about 1 to 2 hours at a time 4 to 5 times a day.
Eating:  He is now eating 5 oz of milk.  At his four month appt. in October we will talk about going to some foods.  That will be interesting.

Sizes: He is moving up to size two diapers and is slowly out growing his 0-3 month outfits. I'm personally not ready for 3-6 months. :)

Activities:  He loves his jumperoo, sitting in his bumbo and watching me do work around the house, playing on his mat and kicking the toys, his rocking chair, and swing.

What I love:  I love how he smiles so big after he eats.  I love how he babbles all the time and just gets louder and louder.  I love how his eyes get red when he's tired and I can just go lay him down to take a nap.  I love how he props his hand on my shoulder when were walking around.  I love how he follows me around with his eyes and head when he's sitting and watching me.  I love how he can go from crying to laughing in one second.  I love how he can roll his lip up and pout.  I love reading books to him and he just sits there.  Here lately he has been talking while I read.  I love how he smiles at his daddy when Jason comes home from work.

We are enjoying him more and more every day and love his little smile and small laugh.

WE LOVE YOU MR. DREW!

New Things Around Here

Jason put Drew's jumperoo together this past weekend and his highchair.  These are two things I have been meaning to ask him to do but keep forgetting.  Yes my memory left when I was pregnant and never came back.  My friends kept telling me about this whole memory loss thing but I had a good memory and I didn't think that would be the case for me..wrong.  Anyways, Drew enjoys both of these new items in our house.  This also caused us to rearrange the living room because all of his toys are taking up a lot of space.  Oh well, it keeps him happy, at least for a little while!

I had mentioned in my 2nd Mommy Must Haves that I would post pics of Drew on the spin tummy time mat.  Here they are!

Another milestone

This morning I was watching Drew on the monitor because I could hear him waking up.  He looked like he could possibly roll over.  I asked Jason to go check on him and told him that he might roll over.  While Jason was in there Drew rolled over!  Jason rolled him back and Drew did it again!  He finally went back to sleep.  About thirty minutes later he did it again and started crying because he couldn't roll back.  I had asked Jason to take a picture and of course I had the memory card in the computer and not in the camera.  So, Jason left for work.  When I woke up and went in to get Drew, this is what I saw.

He was not a happy camper.  So, it looks like not only can he spin in his bed.  Yes, we have caught him many times the opposite way that we have laid him down.  He can ROLL!

2 month check up

Drew's two month check up was yesterday.  He started off being his normal happy self until the nurse checked his temperature and he definitely didn't like that.  We calmed him down, read him a few books, and he was back to cooing and talking away.  The doctor came in and talked to us about his progression and measurements.

Weight: 13 lbs (75%)
Height: 22.8 in. (34%)
Head 15 in. (9%)

She did say that the % doesn't really matter as long as he is pregressing the same way he has been doing in the past and he is.  He's right on track and doing well.  After she left my stomach started to hurt because I knew that the SHOTS were coming next.  The first shot was in his mouth and he did so good taking that one.  The next three not so much.  The nurse asked Jason to hold his arms and she held down his legs.  After the first shot, the screams started coming.  One thing about Drew is when he is so mad his mouth is open but you can't hear anything so he wasn't as loud as others that we could hear from other rooms.  After she was done, Jason held him and he calmed down and fell asleep.  The drive home was great.  I was personally stressed about that because he was with me and Jason went back to work.  I hate when he cries in the car and I'm driving.  I laid him down and he woke up to eat and was back to his happy little self.  I even got my first good smile picture.

Everythings good when he has his hand.

Big SMILE!

This is how he really feels about all my pictures

Took his hand out just for a picture.

After an hour and a half he went back to sleep, like normal.  He woke up from that nap furious, in pain, and miserable.  We tried to soothe him like we always do but it wasn't working.  We decided to give him some pain medicine and just held him.  An hour later he was calm but I could tell he wasn't happy.  Jason laid him on the couch and patted his back and he was content.  We had also given him his acid reflux medicine so he needed to eat and it was time for him to eat.  So, we tried giving him his bottle while laying down and he did eat a little but not the normal amount he usually eats.

After that I held him until he fell asleep.  We laid him down and he slept well, just like he has been.  I was afraid he would be awake most of the night in pain.  He slept so well that he completely turned around in the middle of the night and was facing the other directions when he woke up.  Not sure how he did it but he did. Today he is doing great and I hope the worst part is over.  He has been such a trooper but I'm sure like me, he's glad everything is over...for now.
