A trip to the Apple Orchard

This morning we took a trip to a local orchard that I have heard about but we have never visited.  Last year they were out of apples when I contacted them and this year we went the last day that they will be open.  It was fun and Drew loved picking the apples!  Camden even found him one that he wanted and we can't wait to make some goodies with these apples.  It's Camden's favorite thing to eat right now so he might be getting most of them!

They have chickens and a little butterfly garden too.

They also have a peach picking season in the summer so, we might just have to try that out next year and come earlier for more yummy apples!

7 Months

Dear Camden,
Please stop growing.  Your mommy and daddy love you just the way you are and although we know we will love you no matter what, we are really enjoying you right now and want you to SLOW DOWN.
                                                                                                           Love,
                                                                                                           Your mommy and daddy
My oh my have we had a busy, busy month.  Camden sure has enjoyed every bit of it and has been his happy self along the way.

What's new:  He's thinking about crawling and trying oh so hard.  He straightens his legs and ends in an upside down "v".  He has put his weight on a couch cushion and pushed up.  He now sits in the shopping cart at stores and high chair at restaurants.  He rides in the stroller like a big boy and no more sitting in the car seat.   He started preschool with Drew and loves it.  We took a short day trip to visit and meet his Pop and Mimi.  He was dedicated at church.  He has started just last weekend throwing a little fit if you take away something from him.  Usually it's if he has gotten a hold of my phone and I take it away.  Little stinker.  He will break his back to find my phone.  He likes when it's lit up.  He also got to go to the park and actually play himself instead of just watching brother have fun!

Interests:  My phone, holding the spoon by himself when he's eating, anything that crinkles or makes noises, LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his brother, and likes to grab our toes when we are on the floor playing with him.

Food:  He drinks around 7.5 oz of milk each feeding.  For food he has tried bananas, pears, apples, sweet potatoes, carrots, and peaches.  Next up is green beans.  He has a few random red spots on his face after having peaches for two days so we have stopped that for now and will revisit later.  His favorite so far is apples and pears are a close second!

Big brother wanted to help

Sleep:  He's getting there, we can finally say.  He usually eats dinner around 6 and then goes down around 7:30.  He doesn't wake up again until 5 or 6am.  YAY!  He had a rough night the other night and I think it was either his teeth (still doesn't have any of those) or a growth spurt.
Sizes:  He is still wearing 6-9 month clothes and a size 3 diaper.

What I Love:  I love how he just seems to be the happiest baby I know.  Everything/Anything makes him happy.  He only gets a little fussy when he's tired or hungry...or you take my phone away :) I still love the way he adores his big brother and how his big brother adores him.  Drew asks daily if he can play with him and loves taking baths with him.  I can't wait until they can really play together and I pray there are more good days then not with these two.

Camden's Baby Dedication

Last Sunday we had Camden's baby dedication at church.  We had some of our family came in to celebrate this day and we went to lunch with them and friends afterwards.  Camden did great, as always, and listened to what Pastor Doug had to say.  Drew was unsure about going to BIG church and kept asking to go to LITTLE church.  Not sure where that came from but he didn't want to miss out on LITTLE church.  He loves to go to church and I pray Camden will too.  We love our church, church family, and staff.  Thank you to everyone who has, who does, and who will help us raise our little ones in church.

First Day of Preschool x2

That's right, we sent both of our sweet boys to preschool today.  BOTH!  Camden wasn't sure what was about to happen (and you can tell this by the picture) but Drew on the other hand was super excited to see his friends that he has been talking about since we have mentioned getting ready to go back to school.  Since they have an awesome daddy, he went into work late, and took them to school.  Of course, he had to get the must have preschool pics at the house.  He then sent them to me at work and MADE.MY.DAY!

After arriving, I got a text that said drop off went perfect and that Camden was the only one in his class until another little girl comes in October.  YAY!  I loved hearing that!  Drew of course loved seeing his friends back at school.

Their amazing sitter sent me these pictures letting me know both boys were doing good and having a great day!

When I picked these cuties up, they had these same cute smiles on their faces.  Love how the love school and their teachers.

BIG 8-0

Last weekend (I'm a little behind on posting) we celebrated my grandmother's 80th birthday!  She thought she was just going to lunch with one of my aunts for her birthday and showed up and her entire family was there to celebrate.  Drew was excited to see his cousin and nanny.  We had a great time and Camden almost lasted the whole time!

Six Months Old!

Six months is already here and in six months he will be one year.  Oh my!  Where has time gone.  We had a busy but fun month.

What's new:  Sitting up and doing it well.  This makes life so much easier.   When he's on his belly he scoots and moves any way possible to get places.  He also loves to pull blankets up to his face when he can get a hold of one.  We did an over night stay with some friends at the Gaylord and Camden enjoyed his first visit.  We gave him and Drew a bath together for the first time.  They both loved it and had fun playing with each other.  He has been to Mrs. Beverly's house, and loves it!

first week at Mrs. Beverly's

Interests:  Blankets and anything else he can pull up to his mouth.  Loves watching people, especially his brother.

Food: Milk 5 to 6 times a day and anywhere between 4 to 7 oz.  Camden is now getting to eat dinner with us!  He has only tried bananas and loves them.  Next up is sweet potatoes :)

Sleep:  AHHHHH, at least six hours a night and we all can't wait for when it's longer.  :)  This boy loves one on one time, I guess.

Sizes:  Size 3 diaper and has moved up to 6-9 month clothes.  This time is was a little sad to move out those 3-6 month outfits.  I am usually excited to see all the cute little outfits for the next size, but honestly I wasn't ready this time.  :(

What I love:  I love the happiness this boy brings to us daily.  I love how happy he is ALL THE TIME.  I love how easy going he is.  I love how the simplest things make him so happy.

Drew was much more active during his little photo shoot....see here.

Five Months Old

Five months ago TODAY Camden came into this world and made it a better place!  He is such a happy little boy and just loves everything about his little life.  We love him so much and couldn't picture our lives without this little cutie!

What's New:  Rolling over!  I don't remember Drew rolling over this much.  I have a blanket in almost every room to lay down and let him roll around.  He loves it!  He has found his feet and like to pull them closer.  He has also almost mastered sitting up on his own.  He does it but slowly bends forward after a few minutes of leans backwards.

Interests:  He loves his brother and anything he does.  He likes to look at Sutton (our lab).  He is starting to watch us eat which is a sign that he's getting ready for food!  He also puts his hands together and play with them.

Food: Still drinking just milk.  New studies show that you don't have to do rice cereal like we did with Drew. At this point Drew was about to start foods and already had rice cereal but we are planning to wait until six months and just go straight to food.  He drinks 6 oz of milk and is back taking a bottle.  He did have a few weeks where a bottle was not his thing.  Thank goodness that changed!

Sleep:  He's getting there.  He takes a few one to two hour naps during the day and then goes to bed around 7:30.  He wakes for a feeding and then back to sleep.  He wakes one more time for a bottle around 11.  He sometimes wakes up around 2am and currently is WIDE awake and happy as can be.  Just babbles.  He then goes back to sleep and wakes up around 4:30 and then back to bed after eating for another 2.5 to 3.5 hours.  We just need the 2am to drop and the 4:30 to extend just a little.  Mommy and Daddy are tired but I know he just wants some one on one time with us.

Sizes:  He is in a size 3 diaper and wearing 3-6 months clothes.

What I love:  I love his constant smile which is now turning into giggles.  I love how he gives open mouth kisses.  I love how he loves his big brother and how his big brother loves him just as much.  I love how easy going he is for the most part and brings a smile to our faces.  We just love him oh so much.
