10 months

With all the craziness of the holidays Camden's 10 month post is a little behind.  Camden turned 10 months on the 21st of December.  Bless his heart he's had a little cough and runny nose.  I really think this kid was born with allergies.  He's still the happiest little thing around even though he hasn't felt himself 100%.

What's new:  He has two more teeth!  He now has two on the top an two on the bottom.  He is walking along everything and trying at times to stand by himself.  He's a little daring and has no fear.  To say that, he has hit his head MANY times because he just goes and does anything and he sometimes has to pay to consequences.  Poor guy.  He can hold his bottle by himself but sometimes chooses not to.  He H.A.T.E.S his room.  If he thinks we are getting him ready for bed or nap he starts crying when we start walking towards his room.  I could just be putting something in his room and his lip starts to curl.  He also hates getting his diaper changed.  He usually screams the entire time.  We have at times, changed him in other rooms and he's as happy as can be.  It's crazy and silly at the same time.  He also carries anything and everything around in his mouth.  He will pick something up, put it in his mouth, and go!

Interests:  Loves to play with his big brother.  They have played for 45 minutes in the game room with no problems just doing whatever.  Drew even asks for him to come play with him.  It's so cute and AWESOME!  He wants to be outside anytime the door opens.  It's to cold, so unfortunately he has to look out the window instead of going outside.  He also needs to know where I am at, at all times.  He will break his neck to watch me go somewhere.  If I leave the room or pass him to somebody else he cries.  When I take him back, he immediately stops.  I love it but I know it needs to stop!  He loves playing with the big legos and brothers duplo legos.  He got a lot of sensory balls for Christmas and those are his favorite.  He smiles when he sees them around the house.  He's easily entertained but blocks and balls are his current favorite!

Food:  He drinks 7 oz of milk in the morning, after his two naps, and for dinner.  His favorite foods are still apples and bananas.  He hasn't been as picky of an eater as the last few months and has started eating what we eat for dinner with us!

Sleep:  Like a rockstar!  He takes two naps during the day and sleeps about 12 hours at night.  It's awesome and even though it took him a while to do this, I love it!  He on the other hand would rather stay up so he doesn't miss a thing.

What I love:  I love how well he plays with his brother.  They enjoy each other's company (for now) and for the most part get a long so well.  I love how he smiles at just about anything and brings joy to us all.  I love how easy going he is with our daily plans and schedule.  I love how when he feels bad, he's still happy.  I just love him being apart of our family and couldn't picture life without this little bundle of joy!

December

This past month was so fun with so many memories made with our little boys.  With work, life, and all these activities, I failed to post as much as I should.  So, here it all is.

Every year we have a Christmas party with our close friends (currently a pj and pancakes because we have little kids and we can't party all night long like we use to).  So, we decorated for Christmas as soon as Thanksgiving was over at our house.  Camden helped out and Drew got involved and loved decorating the trees!  Yes, we have 5 trees to decorate!

He also wanted to help us wrap presents and we let him.  Only let him do a few but he loved it and also loved putting all the name tags on ONE GIFT!  We had to keep a close eye on him and so did his Gigi because he did it to her gifts too.

Here is the best pictures I could get of all of our littles at the Christmas party.  Aren't they just the cutest in their pj's.  They did so good at the party and played so well.  Are they growing up?!?  I hope not to fast!
The first Wednesday in December, Drew had a Christmas choir program at church.  He still sings these songs all the time.  We have a Christmas CD of children's music and although Christmas is over he still wants it playing while he is trying to go to sleep at night.  The kid loves music and has a current fave - Christmas music!
The next Thursday, Drew was a shepherd in his school program.  He is on the far left looking at the picture.  He did so good and at one point he was singing to wall beside him.

After the program we went to the Bethlehem Market.  They had little shops for each child to visit and create different things.  One was the photo shop and we got to get a few good pics of him and the whole family in the stable.

This year, I actually remembered we needed to bake cookies for Santa.  In the past it has been oreos that we already had or Toll House break apart chocolate chip cookies, which by the way Santa loves.  So, we baked and Drew did most of the work along with my awesome mixer.

The weekend before Christmas, we always get with Jason's side of the family.  The past two years it has been at our house.  We all met up a Pappadeauxs for lunch and then headed to our house for fun, deserts, and presents.  We had a great time with everybody over.

The next day (Sunday) we had my mom's side of the family over.  They decorated cookies and ornaments.  We enjoyed each other's company, ate dinner, and opened presents.  It was a fun and relaxing time.

Christmas Eve it was our turn to go to Jason's sister's house.  We rotate amongst all the siblings.  Our house is next year!  We had a linner or whatever you want to call it!  We ate an early dinner and opened presents.  Drew loves playing with his cousins.

After that we left and headed to my grandparent's house in Rockwall.  We got to be with most of my dad's side of the family.  Drew enjoyed playing with his cousins and Camden was worn out but loved exploring their house when he could.

After leaving my Gram's and Pepaw's house we hurried home to set out our yummy cookies and milk for Santa.  Camden didn't quite understand and kept wanting to eat them.  I don't think Santa cared because he still ate them :)  We then put the boys to bed a little later then normal to rest up for the next day and hope that Santa would come to see them.

Camden woke up around 8:30 and we had to wake Drew up.  He was scared at first, thinking Santa was still at our house.  I am guessing because we told him that Santa had come, he thought he was still there.  After reassuring him that he wasn't at our house, he decided to come see and boy was he excited to see his new stuff.

After enjoying the new toys, eating our family breakfast, opening stockings, and gifts we then headed to my parents for lunch and spend the rest of the day with them.  After eating lunch we opened presents, which seemed like it took FOREVER!  Camden napped and Drew played with his new jeep.  We ate dinner with them and then said our goodbyes.  Although Drew told me that I was leaving but he was going to stay with them.  HA HA!  Good try buddy.

We had a great December, full of many memories that we will always be able to cherish.  Camden had a great first Christmas and we are looking forward to many more.

Here is our thank you card to our family that they should all be getting in the mail soon!

Early Thanksgiving

Every year Jason's family gets together the weekend before Thanksgiving to celebrate.  We opened our house to 19 people and I would say it was a success.  The kids had fun running around, the adults enjoyed a family trivia game and of course Baylor football, and everybody got plenty to eat!

We had just enough seats for everybody and I even had a special place for the kiddos.

Playing the family trivia game!

Enjoying the yummy meal that everybody helped prepare.

I didn't get much pictures throughout the night but was able to capture some of Drew with his Cate cousins.  He sure does love his cousins and always asks when he is going to see them.

Memories

Yesterday morning our Pop went to be with the Lord.  He has battled for 3 years with many ups and downs and yesterday his battle ended.  I have so many memories with him from vacations to trips to his house.  He was the most Godly man I know along with being full of knowledge about almost everything.  Pop we will all miss you and we know you are looking down on us with joy.  I will try to tell the boys to keep in down in any hotel we visit and if not I will simply say "SHHH We've got neighbors".  Until we meet again, love you!

9 months!

Camden is nine months old!  In three more months this sweet little boy will be one years old.  That is just a little crazy and this momma isn't ready for that.  He's growing up way to fast, seriously.  I have a feeling that this sweet boy is going to be the life of the party and very laid back.  He will always try to find the best in things and will admire his big brother is all that he does.

This month has been eventful with is first Halloween, not feeling well these past two weeks, two weddings, a trip to Waco, and just life.  He has been a happy trooper through it all and always has his cute little smile on his face.

What's New: Babbling some sounds that are pretty close to words, opening and closing doors, loves to turn on and off lights with the light switch, pulling up on anything and everything, reaching to move from one thing to another, and attempting to drink out of his sippy cup.  This kid has no fear.  He let's go of one object and reaches of us but the problem is we aren't always ready but have so far caught him every time.  He is a little braver then his big brother was.  He is also starting to reach for others to hold him and wanting to wave every now and then too.

Interests:  Sutton for sure, his brother - always, he is getting to where once he sees me (mommy) then I can't go out of his sight.  He loves to be with me, which I really don't mind!  Toys that make music, reading books with brother, loves the big Lego blocks we have and has started to play chase, crawling away from others.

Food:  He doesn't like food that is green!  He just isn't a fan but we sneak it in.  He still loves apples and bananas the best and rice is a new favorite too.

Sleep:  He is doing much better.  We do wake him up around 11 or 12 at night and feed him and he goes until 5:30ish.  He then eats and goes back to sleep.  There have been a few nights that he wakes up in the middle of the night but not like it use to be.  THANK GOODNESS!

What I Love:  What don't I love...his smile, his happy attitude, how much he loves his big brother, his curiosity, the joy he brings to our family and how well he fits right on in like we have always had him...not just for the 9 months of his life!  He's definitely a keeper and we wouldn't trade him for the world.  He's our sweet little Camden Lee!

Operation Christmas Child

The time has come to do our Operation Christmas Child again this year.  We love doing this and going shopping as a family to collect things for our little box.  Drew has done this since he was born and now Camden gets to join in on the fun.  This year was a little hard for Drew and a tough lesson to learn while shopping.  After a little talking to him and him understanding none of the stuff was for him, he started to get happy and find things for "his friend".

This year both boys had to get the same thing for their "friends".  Drew wanted them to even have the same color of everything we got.  Their boxes included
- crayon book/crayons/sticker set
-toothbrush/toothpaste set in a bag
-tennis ball (of course)
-fleece blanket
-water bottle
-duplo legos
-toy car
-3 pairs of socks
-eating utensils

We have to get creative when packing these things.  The duplo legos were stuffed into the water bottle and the crayon book set was taped to the lid.  We try to fit as much as we can inside the shoe box sized plastic bins.  We hope we bring smiles to two little boys faces and that our box blesses them in more ways then we can imagine.
